Overton Dramatic Society

Welcome to the website of the Overton Dramatic Society (or "ODS")! We are a small, friendly society based in Overton, in Hampshire, UK. We've produced at least two shows per year since 1980.

Our Next Show!

Every gambler both in and out of New York is waiting for Nathan Detroit to announce the location of the next game – but there’s a problem.  Detroit doesn't have the $1000 he needs to get the game going. So, when he sees high gambler Sky Masterson he bets a $1000 that Masterson couldn't convince Sergeant Sarah Brown of the Salvation Army to go to Havana with him in the next 24 hours.

While Masterson sets out to seduce Sarah, Nathan Detroit has to deal with his girlfriend of 14 years who has decided it's time they should get married.  Set in New York, Guys and Dolls is a big band show of sin and virtue, love and loss accompanied by amazing, foot tapping, trumpet blowing music.  If you have ever wanted to be Hot Box singer Miss Adelaide, reckless Gamble Sky Masterson or Rockin’ the Boat Nicely Nicely Johnson, then this is the show for you.  New members always welcomed.
